Goodwins theory

In the video we watched we analysed it using goodwins theory.

Goodwins Theory has seven parts to it :

1) Links between lyrics & music

2) Links between lyrics & Visuals

3) Genre characteristics

4) Intertextual reference

5) Notions of looking

6) performance,narrative and concept based

7) demands of the record label.

In the video we watched as a group we decided that it contained, a lyrical connection as the people in the video acted out the narrative of the lyrics. Also the main artist lip synced the lyrics, this person was featured in almost every shot. There is a few instances of voyeurism such as the the couple in the room. The editing of the video means that the cut is on the beat.
